So far, we have studied: The importance of inquiry, the use of modals: must and can't, to express certainty and might/could, to express probability, and we have also identified the parts of a mystery short story. Now, it’s time to create your own short story. Take the challenge!!! INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Go to COMIC STRIP EXAMPLE, read the comic strip and guess what will happen at the end of the story. (Note: comic strip does not necessarily mean a funny story, it is just a literary genre) 2.
In order to create your own comic strip, watch the video and follow the instructions on it. Note: If you need help use the supporting videos. 3. Following the model fromCOMIC STRIP EXAMPLE and create your own open ended graphic strip. Use the rubric to guide you on the characteristics a comic strip should have. Here are some examples of free apps and web pages that help you to create comic strips. 4. Upload your comic strip to the forum. Use the following pattern to name your strip: Surname_Name_Comicstrip (no stressed letters like José) for example: Perez_Jose_Comicstrip 5 . In the forum, choose one of your classmates' comic strips and write an end for it. Make sure you use modals of certainty or probability. Check the Rubric. |
