Objetive

Students will apply the knowledge of linguistic elements (parts of speech) through the construction of simple sentences about College Majors in area two to develop linguistic, communicative and academic skills, and also to promote willingness and openness to investigate sharing knowledge respecting the opinion of other people.

The student will:

Identify the parts of speech in different HP5 exercises.
Identify the parts of speech in a text.

Expected product

Lists of groups of words about the parts of speech from the reading of a short paragraph about an area two major.

Instructions:

1. Read the presentation “Parts of Speech” and take notes.

2.Answer the exercises in HP5

3.Read the article “Marine Biology Major” Underline the text with different colors. Choose a different color for each part of speech. Example: nouns in red, verbs in blue, etc.

4. Write the underlined words in each group category

5. Name your file as follows: Last name_.Name_act_1.2. Example: Salas_Mario_act_1.2

6. Upload your file in a .doc or .pdf format.
